This week Plant Lovers, the poignant story of a great orchid growers collection that needs saving! I'm co-hosting the sale of Joe Crawford's orchid collection in Aberfeldie, Melbourne, this Sat 13th from 10am. Joe was an expert grower who began collecting in the early 60's and amassed a fantastic selection of Australian Dendrobiums, Cymbidiums, Cattleyas, Asiatic Dendrobiums and many more. He grew many prize winning specimens and was a judge at the various orchid shows throughout the state. Unfortunately Joe has succumbed to dementia and his daughter is somewhat overwhelmed by the collection. So to safeguard the collection, and raise funds for Joe's continued care, I'll be co-hosting a garage sale of the plants, tomorrow, Sat 13th Dec. I'll be there from 10-12 and it will be cash only! I'll post the exact address Friday evening and hopefully, if you're in Melbourne, you can come along and help save this wonderful growers lifetime work!
