Rescued from Hell by The Coledale Inn in Braithwaite was no overstatement! In the summer I traveled to the Lake District to climb 3 Wainwrights but I was swamped by heather flies on the first summit of Barrow, which saw me spit my dummy out and head down to the pub for cold drinks and food. I bumped into a lovely couple, who recommended The Coledale Inn in Braithwaite for good food and a warm welcome and I was in need of both!
