We traveled to Charleston, South Carolina to sit down with model, female entrepreneur, and artist, Venita Aspen. At 16 years old, she didn't see anyone that looked like her in magazines and TV ads, shortly after she started her modeling career to help change that. She also shares with us what it's like to be a black female entrepreneur in the South.
As an influencer, we talk through comparison and how social media oftentimes grows our insecurities and hinders our work. Towards the end of the conversation, we discuss through what it's like to own your own business and prioritize what's most important. Her modeling carreer has lead her to work with companies like Target, Old Navy, and Anthropologie. She also runs her own creative agency servicing clients around the world. I can truly say I left this conversation a better person thanks to Venita and her story!
