PA state Rep. Abigail Salisbury testified before the PA House Finance Committee about her two-year effort to help Jesus Dwelling Place, a North Braddock church targeted in a 2024 shooting, secure a nonprofit security grant. She called for eliminating the matching-fund requirement for low-income organizations, arguing that the current law makes it nearly impossible for under-resourced houses of worship to access funding that wealthier congregations can more easily obtain.
