โก๏ธRenault's retro-futuristic 5 EV has been a massive hit for the brand and now it's hoping to repeat the success with the smaller Twingo. Designed to resembled the original 1993 Twingo, the new Twingo E-Tech is only available with electric power, just like the 5 and its 4 crossover brother.
All three EVs use Renault's AmpR small platform, but the Twingo makes do with a tiny 27.5 kWh battery that gives a WLTP range of 163 miles. Zero to 62 mph takes 12.1 seconds and its game over when the speedo hits 81 mph.
Packaging is a strength, as should be affordability. Renault says to expect a starting price of below ยฃ20k (โฌ23k/$26k), and some sources suggest it'll be even cheaper than that.
