How to remove the fuel tank of a Jeep. This video shows how to remove the petrol tank from a Wrangler YJ and how easy it is once you know all the access points. The removal of the gas tank is usually done when you are about to weld and fix rust under your car since any leaking petrol fumes surprisingly easy can catch fire. You may need a jack to lower it down to the ground and it is easier if you have raised the rear of the Jeep.

Note: before any work - disconnect the battery first!
