The transmission pan on Jeep Wrangler YJ models from 1987 to 1995 do not have a plug, which means that you inevitably have to dump out all the transmission fluid on the floor or try to open the pan in a way that you collect it. Most often a fair amount ends up on the floor no matter how you try to prevent it. In this video it is demonstrated how it is possible to use a primer bulb for a boat outboard engine to suck up the oil before you lower the pan under the car. The components required are very cheap, some hose and the primer bulb for a couple of dollars. It saves you time and efforts cleaning and keeps your floor without a drop of spilled fluid.
