MelodyCrystel | Remix Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers Drenched Bluff @MelodyCrystel | Uploaded February 2020 | Updated October 2024, 3 days ago.
When a picture a ka cover is finished (very long) before one even has started to tinker the responding remix. :coughcough: in December :coughcough: x3
But to defend myself, I was only pretty sure what I wanted to DRAW while I had not even a clear idea what I even wanted to REARRANGE. (My OC Adelina from Harvest Lunatone deviantart.com/harvest-lunatone has so far never worn a bikini on ANY of the drawings featuring her, thus I finally had to change that. Not to forget how tardy I was when it comes to drawing her Dratini at a beach.)
There were a few different tracks I had in mind (even two Rune Factory songs), but the announcement of the Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team remake for Switch was in the end the final reason why I settled for a song of mentioned series.
Drenched Bluff itself is one of my favorite dungeon-themes of the DS-era, hence it was for a very long while on my to-do-list for remixes. The fact that people failed to rip the midi-files from the Explorer-games for several years is probably the only thing that stopped me back then, when I slowly got the hang of remixing, from playing around with an arrangement.
Anyways, my remix now is nothing special – I simply wanted a tropical vibe and slow the pace minimal down to make it sound a little bit less stressed / busy. I was originally content with the result of using 2 standard soundfonts, but adding some Donkey Kong Country instruments to the theme for fun sounded in the end too nice as if I could have removed them after toying too much with the setting.
