Invented by biophysicist Jens Frahm from the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, the FLASH and FLASH2 MRI imaging techniques are changing medical and diagnostic practices.

Frahm was awarded the 2018 European Inventor Award for Research for accelerating MRI imaging and bringing it into the age of video.

These MRI videos offer a rare look at what happens in the body when we beatbox, sing and speak.
