Alessio Cavatore has been lead designer on editions of Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40k, the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, and a host of Armies Books, White Dwarf articles, and other GW supplements.

I got the chance to talk with Alessio about his career in the GW design studio, this game design philosophies, and the nuances of working on the different game eras and systems at Games Workshop in the late 90s and early 2000s.
