Nine Inch Nails did an amazing soundtrack for Tron: Ares, and we wanted to see if we could recreate that energy on the Blipblox.
We found the MIDI file and played it into the Blipblox using a Blipblox MIDI cable. The sound has an unstable pitch, which actually matches the oscillator behavior in the Blipblox really well.
On the SK2, we hit SOUNDFREAK so we could see all the parameters, then flipped through oscillators until we found one that got us close. From there, we adjusted Mod 1 and Mod 2 and modulated them with the knobs to shape the sound.
We were so inspired that we made an additional demo video for anyone who wants to create their own version of this type of music.
