Hi friends,
This week has been heavy. The world feels like it’s shifting beneath our feet, and many of us are carrying emotions we can’t quite name—grief, confusion, urgency. I’ve felt it deeply too.
Today’s Reflective Rolodex prompt is called “Building Windmills.” It’s inspired by the idea that when change comes, we can either build walls to block it—or windmills to harness it.
For me, this moment has reignited my faith in Jesus. I’ve felt called to lean in, to build something that turns the heaviness to hope, the confusion into closeness with others, the stagnancy and inaction into movement. I’ve even ordered a study Bible to take that journey more seriously.
But I also want to say this clearly: I know not everyone watching shares my beliefs. Some of you are spiritual, some agnostic, some atheist. I used to be atheist myself, so I understand that journey. And I am deeply grateful for those that never gave up on me.
This space is for all of us. The Reflective Rolodex is for everyone who wants to be a bit more mindful in the way they navigate life. And I strongly believe in meeting people where they are, in honoring each person’s story. My faith is a personal part of mine, and I’ll share it gently, as an invitation—not a prescription.
So today, let us reflect together. We’ll create a tiny windmill—a symbol of resilience, of choosing movement over fear. And we’ll ask:
What do I build when change comes? A wall to block it all out, or a windmill to harness it all for good? Together, let’s make space for hope, for healing, and for honest reflection. I’m so glad you’re here.
