Here is another spontaneous composition/improvisation recorded on the evening of December 1st. I started by playing the piano part, and then immediately recorded the double bass, harp, and synths (no preparation, no midi programming, straight to Ableton Live from Nord Grand, track by track)

Here is my rework of Ruslpóstur by Jóhann Jóhannsson, from the film Dís.
A blend of acoustic piano, subtle electronics, and field recordings — somewhere between neoclassical, ambient, and cinematic.

Bach: Prelude in B minor, BWV 855a (Arr. by Alexander Siloti) Reworked
Today’s upload features the reworked version from last Friday’s release — a four-track piano EP centered around the Prelude in B minor by J.S. Bach, as transcribed by Alexander Siloti. This beloved miniature — originally from Bach’s Klavierbüchlein für Wilhelm Friedemann Bach and later adapted for The Well-Tempered Clavier — has inspired generations of pianists.

This Prelude in B minor was originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach as part of the Klavierbüchlein für Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, catalogued as BWV 855a. The version most familiar to modern audiences, however, is a romantic piano arrangement made by pianist and conductor Alexander Siloti, a student of Franz Liszt.
Siloti transposed the piece from E minor to B minor and made subtle yet expressive changes in voicing and texture, bringing out its lyrical and meditative qualities. The sustained left-hand arpeggios and delicate right-hand melody reflect a more introspective and romantic character, while still preserving the essence of Bach’s original writing.
This version has become one of the most beloved transcriptions of a Baroque work, often performed as an encore piece for its emotional depth, simplicity, and timeless beauty.
