Happy Year of the Horse from Redress! 🐎❤️🔥
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, let's throw it back to our recent 'Redressing the Lion Dance' upcycling initiative, where we invited local Hong Kong sustainable designers Pearl Leung (gong1long4coi4zeon6) and Eric Wong (Absurd Laboratory) to reimagine traditional lion dance costumes using unwearable textiles from Redress' Clothing Collection Programme—a powerful blend of fashion sustainability with Chinese heritage! 🦁💥
Special thanks to Hong Kong Fashion Fest for supporting our inaugural upcycled lion dance performance at the WWD Fashion Loves Culture Gala, and the legendary Ha Kwok Cheung lion dance troupe for collaborating with us to bring this project to life. 🐉
