Battery & Charging
The Redmi Note 17 5G comes with a massive 8000mAh EV-grade battery, paired with 45W fast wired charging. It also supports 22.5W reverse wired charging, so you can use this phone as a power bank to charge other devices. Battery backup on this phone is genuinely excellent.
Display
You get a 17.75cm (6.99-inch) AMOLED display with 1800 nits peak brightness, which makes it easily visible even in direct sunlight. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, so durability shouldn't be a concern for daily use.
Performance & Storage
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Day-to-day performance felt smooth and reliable for this segment.
Camera
On the back, there's a 50MP main camera, and up front, an 8MP selfie camera. Camera quality is above average for this category and price point.
Software
The phone comes with a solid multi-year update promise, so you don't have to worry about the software going stale quickly.
Pricing & Verdict
Official pricing is ₹27,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant (confirmed via Xiaomi's official listing). Xiaomi has also listed 8GB+128GB (₹30,999) and 8GB+256GB (₹31,999) variants.
