Is the Realme Watch S5 worth buying in 2024? After using it for a full week, here's my complete hands-on review covering everything from display quality to battery life, GPS accuracy, and calling performance so you can make a smarter purchase decision.
The Realme Watch S5 packs a stunning 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 1500 nits of peak brightness, making it clearly visible even in direct sunlight. It also supports Always-On Display, though that will slightly reduce battery life. The build quality is premium with a metal bezel, metallic finish, and 3 functional buttons including a crown competing directly with the CMF by Nothing Watch.
In terms of health and fitness tracking, this watch offers built-in GPS, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, and supports 110+ sporting activities. During workouts, the built-in GPS activates automatically for accurate route tracking. I compared step count accuracy against my Whoop band and the results were impressively consistent.
Battery life is rated at up to 20 days, and in real-world usage with my regular habits, I comfortably got around 15 days on a single charge. The watch also features Bluetooth 5.3, a built-in speaker and microphone for Bluetooth calling, music controls, voice assistant support, and notification alerts right on your wrist. It's 5 ATM water resistant and even includes a water eject mode to clear the speaker after submersion.
