A $158 red-light camera notice a Palm Beach County man says he never received eventually led to his driver's license being suspended and a traffic stop where an officer told him he could be arrested.
Justin Burt says he had no idea any of it was happening.
It started with a red-light camera violation in Boynton Beach. A notice was mailed after Burt's vehicle was captured running a red light, but Burt says it never reached him.
“I don't know if it just got lost in the mail or, like, my mail forwarding with the post office wasn't working because I move around a lot,” Burt said. “Whatever the case might be, like, I never received a ticket for it, so I just didn't know.”
Because the violation went unpaid, Burt's driver's license was eventually suspended.
