Washington - Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tex.), a favorite of the tea party cult, discusses health care legislation and abortion at the Capitol Hill tea party on Saturday, March 20, 2010. Abortion seems to be one of the favorite Republican strawmen when process and death panels and other deceptions fail to distract or demean.
Tea parties seem to be losing steam and attendance despite continual propaganda and promotion by Fox News and support from conservative media and celebrities on Capitol Hill. About the Capitol rally Saturday, Fox News claimed that 60 affiliate tea party organizations planned the event; however, the crowd only numbered in the hundreds, possibly as many as two thousand. 60 tea party affiliates, free promotion by Fox, a dozen or so conservative congressional speakers, and only two thousand people thats a bust. Maybe Congress should not listen to the tea party lobbyists any more.
A partial transcript of the interview with Rep. Gohmert follows:
Gohmert: (Thank you.)
Red: Im not on your side. I want you to vote for the health care bill for Jesus Care (Obama Care) something for the middle class for a change
Gohmert: So, are you for abortion?
Red: Im for life. Im for the thousands of people (without insurance) that you are killing by voting no.
Gohmert: Have you read the bill?
Red: Theres no abortion in the bill and you know it that is a strawman and you know it.
Republicans deceive and use wedge issues to distract and divide our nation to the benefit of too-big-to-fail businesses. When they throw down abortion in a debate, why not fight back with life? Fight life with life: Obama Care is Jesus Care; choice means life; and if they go all mean on you, just ask why they hate America (or Jesus).

[Satire] Donald Trump touts the credentials of Gov. Sarah Palin to ascend to the presidency but its a mixed bag. McCain and Obama both benefit because Trump sidesteps her inexperience and many scandals: Troopergate, shopping spree and makeup consultant excesses, kids traveling at Alaska taxpayer expense, Wasilla left in debt, bridge to nowhere, plane sold on eBay, witch-hunter minister, and more.
