On 19 September the Red Shirts again demonstrated on the Ratchaprasong intersection, the same area they occupied for many weeks in April and May 2010. The protest was scheduled on the 4th anniversary of the military coup in 2006, and four months after the crackdown on the protesters in May. Candles were lit, red ribbons were used to connect everyone and everything. Lots of people turned up, traffic was blocked. The atmosphere altogether was rather cheerful, with lost of chanting and shoutings.
