**Perfect Pelt Guide** Get a clean head shot on a three star Grizzly Bear with a Bolt Action/Springfield Rifle - any ammunition type will suffice with both rifles.
**Master Hunter 5 Challenge Guide** This RDR2 challenge requires you to skin 3 bears, this can be either Grizzly Bears or Black Bears, but after finding a couple of reliable spawns for Grizzly Bears - I decided to include it in this guide. This challenge isn't too difficult, simply stay on your horse (which will give you another chance - if you're bucked off, the Grizzly Bear will circle back and give you another opportunity to shoot before it attacks) then just get a clean head shot with one of the rifles mentioned above. After that, move on to the second location provided in the video and do the same thing; sleep for 24 hours or so and repeat.
This guide is designed for Red Dead Redemption 2 story mode, however the spawn locations have been confirmed to also work in Red Dead Online / RDO.
If you have trouble getting a Grizzly Bear to spawn, I suggest setting up a camp a few clicks away from the spawn location and sleeping until the following day before riding back and trying again. If you hit bad RNG you may have to do this up to 5-10 times to get it to work for your desired purposes. Reloading your save and/or game can also be used to try and reset the animals in game.
Be sure to explore a small radius of the surrounding area thoroughly before resetting and trying again as it's exact location varies depending on conditions. In my experience, hunting them in the early afternoon yields the best results.
Also, be sure to clear out any legendary animals or random encounters in the area as they can mess with the spawns as well.
