This video is the fouteenth in a series of fugues written for alto, tenor, and bass recorders.
The word "fugue" is related to two Latin words meaning "to chase" (fugare) and "to flee" (fugere). In the fugue as a musical form, a "subject" or theme is introduced in one voice and then "chased" or repeated in other voices and keys.
Since a fugue cannot be represented pictorially, I have chosen to use images of animals running in flight and in pursuit.
As far as I was able to determine, none of these images is under copyright, and there all are in the public domain. If anyone has information to the contrary, please contact me, and I shall take the appropriate action. This one is by Nils Rinaldi.
