Basically, some NPCs which give you items have massive ranges in which they try to give you the item, but most do not. Biggoron is one that does so if you delay getting the prescription with Return A or some other method of collection delay, he will try to give it to you far away when you cancel collection delay. The Get Item Value he gives you can actually overwrite a chest's get item value if you pull out the hookshot then quickly put it away and open the chest by mashing A. This causes you to receive the Prescription as you are opening the chest, then you will receive Prescription a second time after closing the first text box (invisible in this video).
This uses the same odd property of the hookshot which allows you to dupe the deku nut upgrade and receive pocket egg twice. This is showing that concept with a chest instead of an item drop or an item which an NPC gives you.
This crashed on the default emulator plugin so I used a different one to prevent the crash
