It's Wifey Wednesday! Time to do some more work on the Renault/VW Beetle project. In this round, we start by rebuilding the rear brakes and replacing rear axle oil seals. This leads to removing the complete swing axle transmission for clean up and paint. That done, it escalates into repainting the floor pan! First we finish some outstanding welding on the shortened floor pan and discover some bad rust which required welding in a new panel. Finally I could clean up the floor pan with grinder and wire brushes, and apply a rust converter and primer. Then, overnight, rain and cold suddenly stopped play...
