Even though parents don’t owe anyone an explanation about how they choose to feed their babies, my decision to formula-feed Ryaan was because of physical complications that happened during his delivery. I made the best choice for Ryaan, myself, and my mental health. ⁠

Three years later, and I have zero regrets about this decision because as an IBCLC and Pediatrician, I know that we are lucky to have formula to feed our babies!⁠

I encourage you all to listen to your own desires as you feed your babies. ⁠
➡️ Maybe it will look like breastfeeding past your child’s second year of life. ⁠
➡️ Maybe it will look like a combination of breast milk and formula.⁠
➡️ Maybe it will look like solely pumping.⁠
➡️ Maybe it will look like solely formula feeding.⁠
➡️ Maybe it will look like tube feeding. ⁠

How we feed 🍼 our infants may be different, but one thing that we have in common is our love for our babies.⁠ ❤️
