I’m sharing a new project file focused on an ultra realistic fire simulation created with tyFlow.
What’s inside the file
This scene includes a complete workflow for generating high-quality fire simulations:
Simulation stage (TyFlow)
The fire behavior is fully created inside TyFlow, using a procedural setup to control motion, density, and overall dynamics.
Export to VDB
Once the simulation is ready, it is exported as a VDB cache. This allows for a flexible and render-engine–agnostic workflow.
Rendering stage
The final look is rendered using V-Ray Volume Grid, giving a cinematic and detailed fire shading.
Flexible pipeline
Even though this project is built around V-Ray, the setup is not limited to it. You can use any renderer that supports VDB volumes, such as:
Arnold
Redshift
OctaneRender
Corona Renderer
I’m currently working on the full tutorial, which will be released at the end of the week. In the meantime, I’m sharing the project file so you can already start experimenting and exploring the setup.
