This week I read three wildly different but thematically powerful books—Kindred by Octavia Butler, The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri, and Between the World and me by Ta-Nehesi Coates—and they all had something to say about power, survival, and the systems we live in. This vlog got a little deeper than I expected, but it’s one I’m really proud of.
