For the month of July, the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad operated their F-Units on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway. While the summer months typically see Reading & Northern 425 operating over several weekends in the gorge, the Iron Horse Rambles with 2102 and the return of 425 in the middle of July on the Mountain Top Excursion took priority over running 425 in the gorge.
To make up for this, the F-Units were used exclusively in July. While the F-Units are typically reserved for the railroad's Fall Foliage excursions only, it was certainly a nice treat to catch them on the Lehigh Line throughout July. So sit back, relax, and enjoy seeing elegance on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway.
