As of version 1.0.28891, you are no longer able to get Faydown Cloak without Needolin. Everything else in this video is still accurate, but I'm incredibly disappointed that the game is no longer beatable without Needolin.
This is my third video of this funny mountain so I cut out a bit more than usual. You can look at my previous ones (which still have cuts but less of them) for a more "complete" video. I also forgot to show my inventory until the end (oops) but I used Cling Grip, Drifter's Cloak, Beast Crest, and Plasmium Phial as my only items used for the climb.
I used savestates and cheated a little bit yada yada yada but this proves all the rooms are possible with this loadout. I would've liked to have used Flea Brew instead of Plasmium Phial, but I couldn't get the first room to work (everything else should be possible though).

This is a TAS, or tool-assisted speedrun. It was made using tools such as slowdown, frame advance, and savestates, and is not meant to compete with real runs but is solely for entertainment. This is a pretty silly category where the goal is to have a single mantrap eat 6 Hired Hands and then Liz. In order for this to be possible without needing to go to cosmic ocean, you need to get two non-guaranteed Hired Hands, ideally before 1-4. In this case, I used a shopkeeper attic and a Tun shop, but a Hired Hand shop is also an option. Those two plus the coffins in 1-4, the jungle coffin, the Black Market coffin, and the Black Market Hired Hand shop add up to 6.
In order for the coffins to actually spawn, this was done on an Adventure Seed, meaning you will not be able to play it yourself without some sort of mod that would let you do so. The seed is: C884895997D28319 3CF903D44E7CC18E
