Completed on Normal Difficulty.
So far, I enjoyed this game a lot.
Despite its issues such as the loading times being longer than they should be (which is why I cut them off during the editing sequence), zombies cheaply ambushing you from unseen angles (we’ll return to that later), annoying enemies that slow your movements by any means possible (I’m looking at you Crows and Hunter Gammas), and enemies taking cheap shots immediately after a cutscene ends (the Regis Licker is a prime example of this catastrophe).
However, the pros ultimately outweigh the cons as this game pioneered Capcom Production Studio 1’s original formula for online teamwork survival horror, laying the foundation for a niche branch of the genre that still resonates today.
Summarizing Lone Wolf Mode itself, it’s just you playing in a selected scenario alone without any support provided by the other survivors who should always be at your side when needed. Hence, if you were attacked by any BOWs or zombies and went down, you have to heal by yourself whenever you’re in “Danger” condition, as not doing so accelerates the virus gauge, making you infected more easily.
Beyond that, solving the puzzles requires you to manage them on your own, so plan ahead and decide what you should tackle first to overcome this vulnerability. Still, I wouldn’t mind this mode as the AI in this game can be quite challenging to handle sometimes, so this is a blessing in disguise really.
Now, regarding the zombies…..I despise them on this game as they know when to lunge at you as the fixed camera obscures them, leaving an easier shot of injuring you without any warning. Of course, you can counter this by activating your character’s Ad-lib (colored subtitles) which may give you a heads-up of the zombies approaching you.
This solution however, is quite weak as it doesn’t indicate whether the zombies are immediately close to your position or just a short distance away around two to three footsteps.
But yeah, rants over so two things to mention here:
1) Don’t ever stumble crows with the T-Virus bro, they will peck you till death.
2) Cindy’s “We did it” at the end of the scenario cutscene is adorable to listen to.

![VGMemory Groove #68 : Missing Blue PS2 (AQBGM - 002B)
Tere, VGM listeners and welcome back to the sightseeing world of music where obscurity is hidden in between the key of knowledge in videogames. Today, we’ll be reviewing a visual novel game known as Missing Blue or ミッシングブルー in Japanese from the PS2 version.
The plot starts with a similar setting from a Gakuen lifestyle of a second-year student Masamura Kouji, together with humble and quiet childhood friend Ritsuki Saya and senior student Nishizuku Ruuna, as they enjoy a simple yet hectic existence at Seiryou high school.
However, the arrival of a new transfer student, who calls herself Kasuga Mizuki, hands over an unusual crystal while uttering an enigmatic phrase, Please remember... to Kouji. Puzzled with the phrase given, although the main protagonist is convinced they never met, he believes they did. Is there a strange relationship between the two in the form of an intimate relationship? “Invitation to illusion ... Return to reality, what is this supposed to mean by Kouji himself? Search for the truth and play the game to find the hidden answer beneath the question itself.
Reviewing the music track, it delivers a harmonious vibe of certain jingle bells, implying a spiritual Christmas tone with the racing hope of seeing a new future ahead of us. As standing over the bright light of this track, it amazes me with how it was composed for the players to enjoy this comfortable scenario. With the additional instruments of the trumpets added into this track, it has already attracted my attention on appreciating the prosperity of music in general.
Strolling through the evening as snow falls slowly onto the surface of land, reaching a specific destination of joy to celebrate with friends and family to do something you dreamed of before winter ends. Time is limited, so spread the happiness around you and keep the memories you have received, one by one.
In conclusion, a hidden goldmine such as this type of visual novel offers a valuable role in learning the contents of the gameplay, plot and music tracks to explore the past of general videogames that were made for entertainment and fun with no hardships to handle with microtransactions and other unnecessary confusions to add into the burden of the latest generation of players for today.
A game should be treated as a respectable generosity of the effort given by developers, art directors, and composers for years of planning to create an almost suitable game for everyone to pursue their dreams in enjoying their youth, not as exploitation for cash and grabs. Therefore, this game has made an amazing comeback for the current year of 2021 for us to remember the contents provided in the year 2001.
Hence, I’ll give this an 8 out of 10 for my VGM review. Thanks for listening and quoting from a wonderful heroine from Kanon, the anime version, “The same melody repeats itself as the song grows richer and more beautiful. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could live seemingly constant lives while experiencing changes bit by bit?” [Sayuri Kurata]

![RE Outbreak (Jim – Lone Wolf Mode – Below Freezing Point Scenario)
Completed on Hard Difficulty.
Welcome to the second scenario of Outbreak’s plot, where several survivors (including Yoko) stumbles upon a secret underground Umbrella facility.
Here we encounter Monica, an acquaintance of Yoko, desperate to escape the infested facility. Charming, isnt she? Once the cutscene’s over, here is where things get a bit bumpy if you’re doing this alone:
[ First Step ]
Obtain the UMB No.3 and VP-017 in order to create the V-JOLT chemical, then get rid of the “squirting” plant that’s hanging its vines over the ladder. These two unique items can only be found in the B7 floor, one in the chemical disposal room and another one in the chemical storage.
Just don’t forget to collect the passcode for the control terminal by reading the interoffice memo in the laboratory, the same floor you’re in.
[ Second Step ]
Next, get the frozen wrench in B6 floor, then melt it with hot water in the break room’s sink. After that’s done, you need to open the maintenance panel with it and obtain the valve (How is anyone supposed to know this? Hmm…beats me).
You may use it to open the middle door of the lab, but this part is not necessary unless you spawned in B6, which you have to do it as the ladder outside is occupied by the plant, which is still alive. Afterwards, just use the valve to rise the ladder and head on.
[ Third Step ]
Now, since I’m playing as Jim, I am not authorized to access the upper levels and need to register a passcode and fingerprint as a guest here. Before we do that though, we need to get 2 codes in opening the shutters outside the computer room in B5 and another in the B4 floor.
You can obtain that by reading a note that’s quite unhinged around the corner of the first room in B5 floor, which contains…a zombie. So just collect it and exit the room ASAP.
Once you’re out, read the codes given and proceed to B6 to input the codes at a security panel of the laboratory. After that’s dealt with, read another note at the far edge of the narrow corridor in B5s second room then register your identity at the computer room and voilà! You’re done here.
[ Fourth Step ]
See those frozen hunters? They are occupied with the cold here, so move towards the front door and hope that a scripted cutscene does not play in the main shaft as you will be carried away towards the computer room, wasting more of your time instead.
Anyway, we need to defrost everything to its original state, so obtain the blowtorch in the B4 culture room that requires fingerprint access and back to the low temperature lab to finish this part.
That’s all! Now get the turntable key, activate the controls and hang back behind the train itself.
Right, two things I should mention here:
1) Yoko is the main character for this scenario. Unless you’re playing as her, she becomes a zombie and will appear in certain areas of the facility according to the difficulty chosen. Poor Yoko, she had the makings of an Umbrella researcher here.
2) Remember the suggestion I gave in activating your character’s Ad-lib (colored subtitles) if a zombie approaches? Well, you can also see if an enemy is closer by identifying your character’s head posture as they will look at the threat itself.
That’s one way to know if someone is there or not. Wait for the zombie to approach and shoulder charge for it to be stunned, making a clear exit for you to move without needing to shoot or bash it. ![VGMemory Groove #74 : Triangle Again Xbox (BGM - Throughout Your Love)
Sawubona, eye-catching listeners and welcome back to the wide position of VGM reviews as we will be diving into an interesting visual novel/musical adventure game known as Triangle Again, available on the Xbox and PS2 itself.
By following the same routine of explaining the summary altogether, it revolves around the story of young Akari Tateshinas debut as a pop singer. Adjusting to her matters at hand, several sets of choices are available for the player to choose in notes, rather than text (i.e. clickable versus auto-scrolling text).
From the concluded courses of actions taken by her, she will expand her career path towards fame with her splendid musical talents in the plot, including her friend, Yumi Ishizaka as she is willing to aid her in participating in a certain audition by teaming together in performing a solo ballet act while Akari focuses on playing the piano, which resulted in the judges paying their attention towards her magnificent skills in harmonizing the correct notes of the piano.
With the soaring commitment to being a debut singer, she took her chances in becoming one as the story progresses. This includes meeting with several new characters that are introduced into this storyline such as Naoko Sakuma, Kasumi Midou, Masaru Kiryuu, and so on where all of them will play an important role in influencing the heroine’s state of choice for which to overcome the conflicts attached by their discovery.
However, one question in mind, will she be able to achieve her dream as a well-known singer in her area, or are there other opportunities she might be interested to partake inside her career life? Stay tuned by playing/watching the contents of the game obtained.
Delving into this VGM review, it offers a different start as this track displays the vocals of the singer, who is actually Yoshiko Nawa herself, which sang the prepared lyrics by Shoko Fujibayashi while the whole composition was created by Toshiaki Otsubo.
By offering a sense of pop music, it moves in with an opening that keeps rejuvenating your attention by seeing how impressive the key point of the composition itself is played along with the singer in maintaining the consistent tempo from both sides. The most significant duration of the track in this review will be around 1:07, as the combination of the singer’s vocals kept igniting the continuous composition from one point and another. This is why the track itself has made a great entry in occupying the highlights of a specific pop music genre from the 2000s in its golden era received.
Therefore, by ending this VGM review with a rating, I’ll give it around a 7 out of 10 for this listed game. Hence, sit back and enjoy the quote provided by Eddie Riggs from Brütal Legend. “A good roadie knows his whole job is to make someone else look good, keep someone else safe, help someone else do what they were put here to do. A good roadie stays out of the spotlight.” “If hes doing his job right, you dont even know hes there. Once in a while he might step on stage just to fix a problem, to set something right. But then before you even realize he was there or what he did, hes gone.” [Eddie Riggs]

Nothing to say here, good track.
Description: Cover Girl is aimed at a female audience and it is described as a way to become a Truly Fabulous Female. The game starts by asking some personals details. You enter your name, date of birth, and your favourite music style. You then choose one of the three available female characters that will guide you through the game. The game for instance asks you whether numbers or letters attempt you more, if you are in the mood for food choices or to release your inner child, and if you are more interested in being dressed to kill than deadweight dumping. The game then generates a Cover Girl magazine based on your preferences.

![VGMemory Groove #52 : Sankyo Fever 4 PS1 (BGM - 5)
Salve, my VGM listeners and welcome back to another VGM review of a pachinko game, known as Sankyo Fever 4, available for the PS1. To start off, I advise everyone to not participate in any gambling activity as it encourages you to bet more of your money instead of receiving more rewards in the end. It’s vice versa, to make it short. Starting with story mode, you’ll be challenging different gamblers to win various prizes offered for this mode. In addition, you can choose which gender to pick before moving into the gameplay itself. Simple as that. For free mode, you have the chance to enjoy playing three pachinko machines with no conflicts added here. Apparently, it has a crossover with Street Fighter as several famous characters were included in this game such as Ryu, Chun-Li, E. Honda, Blanka and the others. However, you won’t be able to play all of them due to their roles displayed as cameos only. This means they will be seen on the pachinko template screens while you’re playing the machines. I can’t say how Capcom actually agreed to this but I’ll let this slide.
Straight to the point, this track offers an intense build-up that fits well in any casino you’ll be visiting as nothing sparks an entire momentum of groove to enjoy with the excitement you have seen before. Reminds me of how a Sonic level might be able to capture the amplifying tune of Casino Park from Sonic Heroes with this track included. Gear up and have fun watching it! Therefore, I will give this a 7 out of 10 for this review. Thanks for listening and to quote a former professional assassin from The King of Fighters XI, “Whether you win or lose matters, but knowing what to do when it happens is important. [Oswald]
