You may know Ray Evernham as Jeff Gordon's crew chief, the guy who brought Dodge back to NASCAR, or the AmeriCarna TV show guy, but before all that he worked for the IROC series back in the early 80's. Today Ray operates Big Iron Garage where they restore and maintain some of the most iconic race cars ever made, some of which Ray owns himself. Of his extensive collection are a handful of IROC cars from over the years. Second gen Camaros, Dodge Avenger, and Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am. Ray gives us a spark notes overview of the series history along with the evolution of the cars they were using while going through his collection. Maybe we haven't seen the last of IROC racing?
