Does Claude Nougaro ring a bell? He is one of Raven's Jig's sources of inspiration when it comes to writing lyrics. In addition, the song itself is a great starting-point for some jazzy goodness. RJ might not be a jazz band, and the way we make our songs (via Fruityloops) is not particularly optimized for arranging jazz, it is still one of my most favourite genres of music to arrange in. Well, no matter what we do, and no matter how few people listen to our songs, I will always be content to have had the fun of covering or arranging a song and to work together with others while doing so!

P.s. I personally don't understand how akhts is capable of writing such good lyrics for nearly all of Raven's Jig's songs. The lyrics in this particular song (Armstrong) were not altered and were sung as-original. However, in most of our other songs, the lyrics has been adapted, translated, entirely rewritten or completely original. Her true source of inspiration might be a mystery to me for now, but I will find out.
