In this video, I "rate" 44 fountain pen ink brands based on the past 9 years of writing with and testing out hundreds of samples and bottles of ink. SPECIAL thank you to all the pen friends, viewers and pen pals who sent me ink samples and bottles over the past 9 years. I would never have this many inkpressions to share had I not been showered with such generosity!!!! So thank you.
Although this is a lot of generalizing for someone who prefers specific nib-ink-paper comparisons and data .... I do think there is value in looking at the big picture and general impressions once we've written with inks long enough!
Some of the inks made the "incomplete" category but most placed somewhere between "best of the best" and "not for me".
I was inspired earlier this week to do this type of rating video after I watched this video by Hemingway Jones where he rated fountain pen brands:
