playing with my new rat on the bed. he is so healthy, I couldn't be more pleased. he was a stray like Jonnie, but not during the winter, so he likely won't develop the same problems that killed Jonnie. respiratory issues are the leading cause of pet rat deaths, it's very unfortunate. if you have rats, you know exactly what I'm talking about. all we can do is care for them to the best of our abilities and love them to the moon and back. their happiness and health comes before mine. that's what it means to be a parent.
