• Description:
Inspired by reddit user /u/hideme09, I wanted to build a wifi-controlled notification system using a tower light. As the light is 24VDC, and with the added 'benefit' of including an audible side to the notifications, I connected mechanical relays to the system as well. In this video, I show all the steps needed to connect and control the relays and the tower light to a Raspberry Pi Zero W. To control these components, I show how to write Python scripts that actuate the relays/lights as well as listen to HTTP requests over the network.
