Taiji Pi was created by the founder of Hao Family Mantis, Hao Lian Ru, and was a core part of the curriculum of his second son, Hao Heng Xin in Yantai. However, it fell out of popularity and is now rarely seen among the Hao Family descendants. The form focuses on slaps, chops and finger thrusts, which points to the Hao Family's speciality of Iron Palm.
