The Last of Usseries stands apart from other video games in terms of just how well-developed and emotional the characters are. You play as Joel and Ellie, a duo trying to make their way to safety in the landscape of a dystopian apocalypse in what used to be the United States. Sure, you have to fend off cannibalistic monsters, but you also have to watch out for the most dangerous monster of all: man.
WithThe Last of Us Part IIpicking up fiveyears after the original left off, the latest entry adds even more characters to the mix. And, much like in real life, their loyalty isn't always quite so clear. One minute they're sweetand charming, and the next, they're holdinga knife to your throat. Naughty Dog is known foradding an enormous amountof depth to its characters, so when something happens to someone, you truly feel it.
