Passage of Time | Random History Book Haul @passageoftime8561 | Uploaded September 2020 | Updated October 2024, 21 minutes ago.
Hi All
Just thought I'd share with you some of the books that I picked up in the past couple of months, not including Kindle editions. It's just a random collection of history (mainly nonfiction) books that I have finished, started to read, or intend to read soon. At 4:47 I mistakenly state the Shadow King is about Henry V, when I meant to say Henry VI (Henry V is his father and the victor of the Battle of Agincourt). I also called Vlad the Impaler "Dracul" instead of "Vlad Dracula" but again, Dracul is the father of the Impaler. I mean honestly!
Anyways, hopefully some of these might interest you! If you don't want to hear me ramble, I start talking about the books at 2 mins.
Books mentioned:
Rise to Greatness: Abraham Lincoln and America's Most Perilous Year (David Von Drehle)
King of the North Wind: The Life of Henry II in Five Acts (Claudia Gold)
Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (Dee Brown)
Shadow King: The Life and Death of Henry VI (Lauren Johnson)
Mathilda: Wife of the Conqueror, First Queen of England (Tracy Borman)
The First Crusade (Thomas Asbridge)
Dracula: Prince of Many Faces: His Life and His Times (Radu Florescu and Raymond T. McNally)
The Decameron (Giovanni Boccacio)
The Death of King Arthur: A Retelling by Peter Ackroyd
Eagle in the Snow (Wallace Breem)
