Kunal Nayyar just returned as Raj Koothrappali for the first time in 7 years since The Big Bang Theory series finale.

Nayyar reprised his role as Raj for the new HBO Max show “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe”. The sci-fi comedy follows comic book store owner Stuart as he tries to save the universe from a mutli-dimensional collapse caused by a device malfunction that Sheldon, Leonard and Howard created.

Each episode takes place in a different alternate universe, with the first one taking place on a post-apocalyptic wasteland where Raj is a prisoner.

The last time Nayyar played the role was in 2019, when the final episode of The Big Bang Theory Season 12 aired.
