In its 40th year, the Hunter Valley Steamfest returns for the year 2026 with locomotives 3265 and 3526 as this year's guests. See the two locomotives on their journeys to Paterson, Branxton and Port Waratah along with them running parallel in the famous Great Train Race from Waratah. Alongside the locomotives are historical traction engines and the usual busy rail activity around the Hunter region, including freight trains.
