Review - This is a wonderful little game made in the style of a Metroidvania for the Gameboy Color, made by one guy. If it was released back in the day, it would have been a major hit. But the choice of aesthetic is perfect for this little game. It can be played in one sitting, and believe me, you won’t want to put it down until it’s done. There are loads of secrets to find and it even shows you which ones are missing if you want to 100% everything.
The only time I had to look up a guide was to complete the secret treasure chest puzzle. Which I still don’t understand how you are supposed to work it out. It is required to get the proper ending and the true final boss so I‘m glad I looked it up before I went for the regular final boss.
The bosses seem difficult at first but they are can be learned pretty quickly. The rest of the game is easy enough and not too hard. I think they got the difficulty right. Especially since you don’t want to keep going over and over the same parts. The beauty of this game is that you can nail through it. Something I really welcome.
I would recommend this game to anybody. Gives you a Metroidvania fix, without having to commit to a full game.
