A fresh political controversy has erupted in Punjab after BJP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha’s name was marked as ‘shifted’ in the state’s draft electoral rolls during the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision exercise.

Chadha is among more than 20.66 lakh voters whose names have been deleted from Punjab’s draft rolls, accounting for around 9.7 per cent of the state’s pre-SIR electorate.
