The Radiolarian 5+ is an unbandaged version of Jason Smith's Radiolarian 5, which was a face-turning icosahedron with a cut depth just a bit deeper than Eitan's Star (Radiolarian 4). This 5+ puzzle adds in a few unbandaging cuts to split up the largest parts of the puzzle, opening new avenues for scrambling fun.

The puzzle turns really well, except for one troublesome mechanical issue that is inherent to this geometry: the tiny edge pieces can rotate on their own. I don't think I'll be offering this puzzle for sale due to this problem. I might give it another shot down the road, but I want to finish several other projects first. I'll update this description when/if that happens.
