The Greene Space at WNYC & WQXR | Radiolab LIVE Presents: Mixtapes to the Moon: How the Cassette Changed the World @GreeneSpaceNY | Uploaded June 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Radiolab, the award-winning podcast and radio show from WNYC Studios, presents a new live event based on its Mixtape series. For one night only, Senior Producer Simon Adler – with the help of author Tara Isabella Burton and composer Alexander Overington – tells the story of the most iconic collective experience we humans ever had and the one person at that moment who was totally alone. It’s the story of how we ended up so intellectually fragmented and the role the cassette tape played in it. This immersive experience featuring storytelling, live music, and Radiolab’s iconic sound design is an experiment that you become part of.
