First off, this song.
It was 100% inspired by the picture, and I strongly suggest you check out this person's work; it's all awesome.
I didn't really know what I wanted to do with this one, but the process was strange.
Typically, if something doesn't work, I just won't go for it, but this time, I felt like there were things that could work, and I pushed as hard as I could, and I finally got them to work the way I wanted them to.
The whole thing is a little unorthodox and I did my best to make it different from Ex Machina (especially since they share the same key), but I fell in love with the timbre and the overall tone, so I hope you guys like it, too.
There was a liiiittle more I wanted to do, but I was at 7.0~/7.7 GB of RAM with samples purged and the CPU already maxing during the chorus, so I just could not comfortably do any of it.
If all goes well, I'll be able to finally start investing in a better computer soon.
So, uh...life's been something.
I spend a whole bunch on Black Friday thinking that new instruments will get me out of the rut I've been in, and I was dead wrong.
I've felt terrible for most of November and December, and to be honest, I was wondering if I'd ever be able to make music again, but mostly for the fandom.
I went through a period where I'd think of other things to compose for, desperately searching for inspiration, and honestly, I was close to deciding to just drop pony music altogether; I was beyond lost.
I'd push for music every day, but most days I'd just feel too worn out or too depressed to even open up LMMS.
I especially felt bad for my patrons, since I always want to deliver content, but I never want to upload something I'd be ashamed of in the slightest, and I feel you all deserve the best I've got.
A lot's been going on, but I've got hope that 2017 will be something great.
