Playthrough of the Grand Prix mode with the Pac Racing Club team. Whilst I think a lot of people would say this was the best PS1 Ridge Racer game, I really wish the first game had been included instead of or as well as this one, it was one of the PS1’s launch games and a very important title for Sony.
The PlayStation Classic was released in 2018 and quickly forgotten about. To me, the main problem with it is that most of the games I would want to play on it I already had on my PS3. For some reason the games are a mixture of the USA and European versions. The nice thing about R4 is the USA version was used. I had the Euro version on my PSN account, so let me show you guys something:

Same game, but it took me just over an hour to beat the PAL version, whilst it was just under 50 minutes for this version. PAL gamers really did get the short end of the stick sometimes.
Something I have to confess about this game: I didn’t realize the team select was the difficulty select. Usually I’d always pick the Mappy team because of Sophie, but since I’d already beaten the game with that team I just had to pick someone new for this version. To me there is quite the difficulty spike between the Mappy and PAC teams, you have to play a lot better in order to get through the game -you can’t make too many mistakes during a race.
