Let's look at my r1b haplogroup and then my documented family tree.
For reference, at the great grandparents level, I'm Cantabrian, Italian/Cuban, Andalusian, and Canary Islander, and I'm U.S. born.
Not all people have the same family backgrounds, and under such a broad category as the greater Hispanic world, there could be many variations depending on individual family histories.
According to ADNTRO my paternal haplogroup is R1b1a2a1a2b1 and my maternal mtdna is
H2a2a1.
Likewise, the morley haplogroup predictor site also places me as R1b1a2a1a2b1 and cladfinder goes a bit further placing me at R-FTA30946.
Inputing that result into the ftdna site, I see some interesting results.
They place R-FTA30946 as close as 400 CE and there are a limited few current day test takers that also have this result, and they're of French origins. Check out the rest of the video for more.
