R.C. Gorman took Native American art from the category of a cultural or ethnic art form into the mass market category of decorative art. In other words, he developed a style that made people say, “that painting and those colors would look good in my living room”, a style of artistic expression that would make him rich. During the height of his popularity I did this profile of Gorman for the Today Show, in which he described his journey as an artist, and also his passion for enjoying life.
