I will always advocate using a graphics designer if you have the means, however the fact is that most small shops don't staff a graphics designer and often can't afford one if they're just doing small farmers markets or craft fairs as a side hustle. And if you're like me, you just can't draw yourself. This is a niche that AI fills perfectly.
It's often difficult to get the right type of image for laser engraving when using AI tools. While other videos have focused on using prompts starting with "laser engraving style" or "clip art style", I actually find that using "coloring book style" is much more accurate if you're looking for clean crisp artwork that can easily be traced and converted for user on your laser engraver. The other styles often give you way too much detail and shading or shadows that don't translate well into engraving and I don't get those with coloring book style.
Let's take a look at two tools spanning both Paid and Free to create something fast and fun.
