Today we are stepping into Questner.ai — an AI-driven text RPG somewhere between a tabletop roleplaying campaign, a classic text adventure and an experimental artificial intelligence dungeon master.
As somebody who has spent nearly twenty-five years game mastering systems such as Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire: The Masquerade, Shadowrun and many others, I became extremely curious about one particular question:
Can AI actually create compelling roleplay and emergent storytelling?Questner attempts exactly that.
Using artificial intelligence, the game dynamically reacts to your actions, dialogue, decisions and roleplay choices in real time, creating what is effectively a living text-based adventure.
