First up, you can now directly apply to be part of Meta’s XR research efforts — perfect if you’ve been itching to help build the future of mixed reality. Speaking of Meta, new reports suggest their upcoming HUD-style smart glasses could now have a rough price tag as well as an input device.
Big milestone in standalone VR: someone got Half-Life: Alyx running natively on Quest 3 using Unity! It's just the first scene for now, but it’s an exciting glimpse of what could be possible.
Over on the PC side, a developer got PSVR2’s eye tracking working on desktop — opening up new possibilities for high-end PC VR games. And Mac users can rejoice too: Virtual Desktop’s macOS streamer just got a big update, improving performance and usability.
Finally, it looks like Vision Pro 2 may already be heading into mass production — which could mean we’re not too far off from Apple’s next move in the spatial computing space.
